Come to Guatemala for an immersive experience

Guatemala is a country in Central America that was once the center of the Mayan Civilization and today it is a worldwide producer of coffee, chocolate and bananas.

The meaning of Guatemala in Nahuatl (ancient Mayan language) means "the land of trees". Thus, you can imagine that the country is full of natural reserves and parks with many ancient Mayan temples. Lake Atitlan is known as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The villages surrounding the lake, mostly accessed only by boat, are communities still filled with the rich Mayan cultural heritage.

Central Park, Antigua Guatemala

Antigua, Guatemala is a vibrant colonial city 30 minutes from the capital, Guatemala City. The Spanish Colonial Ruins are the perfect way to begin exploring Guatemala. Antigua is a UNESCO site and filled with options for every visitor including hiking, biking, local and foreign cusine, salsa, farm tours and so many other things that you will never be bored. Many of my students come for a week, a month and end up staying for years.
